4 changes in Guangdong's new college entrance examination

Guangdong will start a new college entrance examination reform plan from the first year of 2018. What changes will the new National Entrance Examination bring? What new opportunities and challenges will the new National Entrance Examination bring? These are the special concerns of the freshmen and their parents who have just entered the first month of high school. To this end, our newspaper and Peisheng Institute of Education jointly sponsored a series of public lectures on "New College Entrance Examination, New Opportunities and New Planning". The first lecture was held in Shenzhen Science High School on the afternoon of September 23. It was welcomed by the parents of the students of science and high school. The multi-functional lecture hall for 500 students was full.

Four changes in the new college entrance examination deserve attention

The lecture was delivered by Jin Xin, a famous career planning and admission planner, Tencent Education, Sina Education College Entrance Examination volunteer and independent admission expert. Jin Xin introduced that the new college entrance examination reform as a whole is mainly to focus on the personalized needs of students, enhance the mechanism of diversified selection of talents in Colleges and universities, and promote the direction of national education fairness. There are four major changes in the new college entrance examination.
Change one: regardless of Arts and reason, the number of languages must be tested, and adopt the "3+3" mode.

In the traditional college entrance examination, there are only two choices for examinees. New College Entrance Examination 3+3 mode: the three subjects outside the language and number are compulsory. The subjects outside the three subjects provide "6 optional 3", that is, 3 subjects are selected from 6 disciplines of politics, history, geography, physics, chemistry and biology as the entrance examination subjects. There are 20 combinatorial choices for the examinees.

Change two: academic examination included in the examination subjects, "6 selected 3", according to the classification of scores into the college entrance examination results.

The entrance examination (equivalent to the graduation examination of senior high school students) will be included in the college entrance examination selection system, the implementation of parallel examination, a dual-purpose test, both for the evaluation of academic level, but also for the college entrance examination. The selected subjects do not directly count the score of the test paper into the total score of the college entrance examination. The scores of the selected subjects are not comparable. The scores of the selected subjects are assigned according to their grades and are included in the total score of the college entrance examination.

Change three: many tests, foreign language and elective examination to provide two test opportunities.
All four courses except Chinese and Mathematics have two examination opportunities, one in October and one in June, with the best results recorded in the college entrance examination; one in April and one in October, with two years of valid results. In some provinces, the first year of the new college entrance examination is to offer only one chance to take the examination, and 2 times after improvement.

Change four: voluntary reporting and admission is different from traditional college entrance examination.

After the reform of the new National College Entrance Examination, taking Zhejiang as an example, the traditional College Entrance Examination (NMET) has changed from the batch to the batch to the batch and the batch to the batch. Four types of students will get new opportunities in the college entrance examination.

Jin Xin told reporters: "There are four types of students very suitable for the new college entrance examination reform, if you belong to these four types of students will encounter new opportunities."

The first is the students who have strong self-discipline and initiative in learning. Because of the increase of the combination of courses, the school will implement the system of selecting courses and running classes. Teachers will be less and less in the management and encouragement of students. In the absence of teacher's supervision and face-lifting, students with high self-discipline and children with strong initiative in learning will have an advantage.

The second category is students who are good at timing and learning efficiency. After the course selection, some subjects are to be included in the college entrance examination results ahead of time, so the teaching schedule will be compressed, resulting in students to complete the subject in a shorter time, so that the timing is particularly good, students who can improve their learning efficiency will occupy a favorable position.

The third category is the students with special advantages. Now the college entrance examination is not only based on score theory, but also on other comprehensive evaluation. If candidates have their own advantages in disciplines, such as physics, in the examination of science, engineering, agriculture, medicine and other professions is very beneficial. Take part in the discipline competition in junior high school or senior one, get the corresponding places and certificates. Through comprehensive evaluation or independent enrollment, students can realize the shortcut of the entrance channel to achieve low-grade and high-achievers.

The fourth category is students with clear career planning. The new college entrance examination pays more attention to the training of specialized personnel. Each university has different requirements for different majors. How to choose a subject should be based on the students'career planning. First, choose the major, then combine the advantages of the subject to match the subjects. So the examinee is required to know where he is good at and the future direction of life, and according to his hobbies and advantages to choose subjects.
Choosing subjects should be based on interest and ability.

The liberal arts and science branch has become a thing of the past. What about the new system of selecting subjects? Can the wrong choice be corrected? Will the wrong choice affect the college entrance examination? Faced with these puzzling questions, Jin Xin suggests that the first thing to consider in selecting subjects is the individual interest and ability in the subject, because interest is the motive force of learning, students'academic achievements and their own abilities. Interest in subjects is positively correlated. Discipline ability is the core advantage of a discipline, and each discipline has its own unique discipline ability, subject ability to a large extent determines whether to learn this course well.

Through the effective career planning, combined with the future social demand for talent and employment situation to determine the future direction of development, considering the future of colleges and universities and major entrance examination. If two disciplines are equally strong and difficult to choose from, it is suggested to give priority to the combination of literature and science, because this is conducive to comprehensive and sustainable development.
